Bob's Space

On our way home we stopped to visit with Fran, Morgan and Alex. He is such a wonderful baby. He was getting a little tired by the end of our visit but that’s okay. I took a couple of pictures of him with the iPhone. Hope you all enjoy.

Spent a lovely afternoon with Mom, Bev and Ralph. We got Mom’s bedroom ready for her new bed that Kathy is arranging for this week. Later we walked down to the trail to see one of the benches that Ralph helped to install along the trail. There will be a 5K race on Sept 22nd that should be fun to be a part of.

Alex has had his first experience with solid food today! Morgan says that he wasn’t real happy with it but, hey you gotta start somewhere! Congratulations Alex for a successful first encounter with non-milky substances. Love ya Alex!

My mom included this picture in our anniversary card this week. Thought I should scan and share. I cleaned up the fade some to bring it back to the original color.  This was taken in their front yard in Laurel Mountain Park. Not sure of the year though. I suspect it was in the 60’s though. I don’t remember that garden their though, it had been cleared out in later years. What I do remember is this area totally taken over with Lilly of the Valley before the ivy came in, and the before the deer made of feast of it all. The Japanese Maple in the background is a pretty big tree now.

We had an unexpected surprise right after an evening rain shower last week. We were sitting on our porch enjoying the coolness that the rain brought with it and Kathy looks out over White School Road to see this beautiful rainbow.  It stretched  clear across the sky as well but you can’t see that from this picture.

God surely provides many gifts to us and all you have to do at times is sit back and enjoy.
